Michelle Columbia Valley Riesling

Hi Kris, and thanks for your comment.

The inability to find some of the wines featured on the site is one of the biggest problems we face in trying to review wines from a retailer that moves stuff so fast and varies so much between different regions. It's really hit or miss.

I purchase almost all of the wines for this site at 3 different stores around the Atlanta area. I have heard from readers in Tokyo that they are able to find some of these, but then I'll hear that someone in the Washington DC area can't. It's really hard to say.

The best advice I can give is to make sure you buy wines the first time you see them because they might be gone the next day, never to appear again. I also welcome your comments and feedback on great bottles you find at your Costco that I haven't reviewed yet.
Costcocom says they do not sell wine online. My warehouse can't locate the wines I have selected although I assume you found them somewhere in the Costco system. How does one navigate through this maze?! Thanks! I saw the 90 point rating and couldn't believe the price. And the bottle was so lovely, I gave many of them as gifts. Unfortunately I very quickly determined that some of the bottles are quite good, while others are clearly corked and completely undrinkable (same 2007 year). I've poured at least six bottles down the drain. Buyer beware. Something happened to this wine after bottling - at least the bottles that were available at Chicago Costco. Very disappointing.

Comment on 2006 Santa Ema 60-40 Reserve

Glad to hear it. I had that one a while ago, so will need to be on the lookout for the '09.
The body and nose are exceptional and the taste with and without food is mellow without being soft. A very complex taste that stimulates the taste buds. An excellent buy.

Comment on 2007 Michael & David Vineyards "7 Deadly Zins" Lodi Zinfandel

Michael Godard did an art piece based off of this wine label for the winery. It is called 7 Deadly Zins (naturally) and has since been published. Just thought it was neat.
