2008 Mer Soleil Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay

A beautiful Central Coast Chardonnay delivered just the way I like them. It's not overly oaked and buttery; rather the true flavor of Chardonnay come through. The wine is clean and crisp, bright and citrusy, with a lot of depth and body along with a finish that really sticks with you. Nicely done. A perfect summer treat, and as food friendly as you could ask for. Price tag at Costco was between $25-$30 (I lost the receipt). For the money, you get what you pay for - a nice wine experience. It's a little spendy for me to enjoy on a regular basis, but worth scooping up when the time is right. We'll put this bottle on our Silver Rated wine list.
