2008 Oliverhill Red Silk McLaren Vale Shiraz

Wow, this one came out of left field. What a great find. I enjoyed this bottle with 3 friends who all agreed it was fantastic. This wine is a nicely balanced Shiraz from McLaren Vale that's just delicate in the mouth, and packs perfect flavor. There's a touch of spice to the nose that comes through later in the finish; a lot of signature Aussie Shiraz characteristics, just done right. I like it the more and more I get into it. For Shiraz fans, this one is a must, and it doesn't hurt that Costco offers it for $14.99. It's a great wine for that price. I'm going to pop it on our Silver Rated wine list...and you don't see too many bottles under $15 on that list (except this other $8 Shiraz). Buy (both) now. question: where did you buy the wine? None of the remotely close Costco stores have it and even a google search failed to discover a wine store outside of CA that had the wine in, stock. By the way even though the Stump Jump shiraz is gone from Costco it is available at least on line and in NJ.
