2008 Ben Marco Malbec Mendoza

A nice big Malbec from one of my favorite producers, this is hard to beat for $15.99 at Costco.  I've had previous vintages and always paid $20-$25 so was thrilled to see the great price Costco offered.

This wine is 90% Malbec and 10% Bonarda (another popular grape in Argentina, and Italy too), and just fires on all cylinders.  Red and dark fruit on the nose, a mouth coating sticky fruit blast on the mid palate, and a slightly dry, but lasting finish; medium to full bodied, and packs a punch.  It did chill out a bit after getting an hour or two of air.

Very nice all around, and one of those bottles that just really hits everything I like in these Mendoza Malbecs.  I'm going to put on both the Silver Rated and Value Pick lists since it's such a nice wine for the money.
